This product is offered free for the first seven days, and is only $29.95 per month thereafter. You can sign up for Privacy Matters 1-2-3 and receive a free copy of your credit report and scores from all three bureaus. That is, it is free as long as you remember to cancel your subscription within the seven day trial period.

If you are actually serious about monitoring your credit report this is a great service because they actually watch all three bureaus. If anything changes on your reports Privacy Matters will send out an email alert. This includes new activity such as credit applications and inquiries.

Privacy Matters Identity provides identity theft protection. They generate a personalized identity theft report based on information available on your credit report and set up alerts that will let you know if any of the information changes without your authorization. They also offer assistance in restoring your identity if you ever become the victim of identity theft.

They don’t appear to provide identity theft insurance of any sort.

They also provide a service called a Family Safety Report which can show you the names and photos of registered sex offenders in your geographical area. This feature is provided by Intelius which specializes in risk management solutions such as background checks.

Privacy Matters focuses their attention on protecting individual consumers and their families and as such doesn’t offer business solutions.

Privacy Matters understands how important your credit information is and provides a strong set of tools to help you keep your personal information secure. We would like to see an option for a family credit monitoring service and the inclusion of identity theft insurance, but besides that Privacy Matters offers a nice comprehensive package.
